Solomon Vice President and Chief Transformation Officer, HLC Dr. Solomon is leading the development of HLC’s new Credential Lab, an innovation hub designed to assist institutions and providers in navigating the complex and growing ecosystem of postsecondary short-term credentials. The Lab is focused on two areas: designing a quality assurance system for short-term credential content providers, and supporting institutions and providers to ensure quality learning experiences and outcomes. In addition, she continues to serve as an institutional liaison and has been leading HLC’s future-focused grant initiatives since 2016. She presently serves on the Learn & Work Ecosystem Library Advisory Board. She previously served as a public representative for the Council for the Advancement of Standards in Higher Education (CAS) and is a past chair of the WICHE Cooperative for Educational Technologies (WCET) Executive Council. She also served as a reviewer of good practices for INQAAHE and has been a consultant, presenter and peer reviewer for developing international accrediting agencies. Previously, Dr. Solomon was the founding Executive Director of Illinois Campus Compact and held leadership roles at ACT, Inc and higher education institutions. She holds an Ed.D. in Adult and Continuing Education from Northern Illinois University. Tammy Aagard Managing Consultant, AACRAO Dr. Tammy Aagard currently works as a Managing Consultant for AACRAO Consulting. She has over 30 years of experience in higher education. Prior to her current role, she served as Associate Vice President for Enrollment Management and the University of Florida (Go Gators!), Registrar at the University of Wyoming (Go Pokes!), as well as working for the Washington State University athletic department (Go Cougs!). Tammy has come a long way from her early days where she was runner up in the junior division of the local Stars of Tomorrow competition. She wasn’t a great singer, but her plaid maxi dress, cat-eye glasses, and toothy smile were a huge hit. Hearing the roar of the crowd instilled in her a need to be on stage. Her career path has taken her through many areas of higher education including advising, transfer admissions, graduate admissions, athletics, registrar and financial aid. After several appearances on YouTube, including starring as the mean Registrar who was ruining Christmas, sadly her career on social media did not take off. So she decided to forego stardom for the gratifying work in enrollment management and now consulting. Outside of work, Tammy loves travel; Broadway plays; canning; serving others including doing hurricane cleanup; planning parties; meeting old and new friends, and hanging out with her family. Some of her fondest professional memories include the time she spent as a member of AACRAO and RMACRAO serving in several leadership positions and on committees. It is a privilege to return RMACRAO as the AACRAO representative and to once again rub elbows with some of the most talented Admission, Registrar, and Enrollment Management professionals in the world.
