RMACRAO Logo Design Contest

We are excited to announce a contest to design a new logo for the Rocky Mountain Association of Collegiate Registrars and Admissions Officers organization! The selected logo will serve as the official visual identity of RMACRAO and may be used across digital and printed materials. 

Eligibility

  • The contest is open to current members of the organization
  • Individuals or teams may submit entries
  • Each institution may submit up to 2 designs
  • By submitting an entry, participants agree to abide by all contest rules

Design Requirements

Submitted designs must:

  • Be appropriate for a professional higher education audience
  • Work effectively for both digital and print use
  • Be original work and not previously published or submitted elsewhere
  • Avoid copyrighted, trademarked, or licensed imagery unless owned by the designer
  • Use free or open source fonts (no licensing required to use the font)
  • Use up to 4 colors, 2 of the colors must be the current colors to honor our legacy
  • Current RGB/Hex colors are:
    • Dark Blue/Indigo (used in "RMACRAO")
      • RGB: (54,54,143)
      • Hex: #36368F
    • Forest/Medium Green (mountains and state names)
      • RGB: (107,144,130)
      • Hex: #6B9082

Submission Requirements

Initial Submission

Participants must submit:

  • PNG or JPG
  • RGB or Hex color mode
  • Include a brief design description

Final Files (Required from Winning Designer)

The selected designer will be required to provide:

  • PNG with transparent background
  • Black & white and full-color versions
  • Any fonts used 
  • RGB or Hex colors

Judging Criteria

Entries will be evaluated based on:

  • Visual impact and creativity
  • Scalability and versatility across formats
  • Professional appearance and clarity
  • Ease of reproduction in color and black-and-white

Selection Process

  • Submissions will be reviewed by the RMACRAO Board of Directors
  • The RMACRAO Board of Directors will select the winning design
  • The organization reserves the right to request minor modifications to the winning design

Rights & Usage

  • By submitting a design, participants grant RMACRAO permission to display submissions for voting or promotional purposes
  • The winning entry becomes the exclusive property of RMACRAO
  • RMACRAO retains full rights to use, modify, reproduce, and distribute the logo in all formats and media
  • The designer will be credited where appropriate

Recognition

The winning designer will receive:

  • Recognition at the annual conference
  • An article in a future RMACRAO Newsletter
  • $25 gift card
Submission Deadline
  • Submission deadline: June 1, 2026
  • Winner announced: Week of June 15, 2026
  • Submissions should be uploaded using this Logo Contest form
